In 1984 Mrs. Bailey moved to Delaware to teach music at Wilmington Christian School and sometime that year she met her future husband. She was married to Mr. Bailey in 1987. After teaching at WCS for four years, Mrs. Bailey taught part-time for the school while staying home to care for her oldest child. In 1999, Mrs. Bailey went back to teaching full time, only this time she taught at Red Lion Christian Academy. Three years ago Mrs. Bailey decided she needed to make another change and applied to teach music in the Colonial School District. Since her hire in 2004, she has taught at King School in Wilmington and Colwyck and Eisenberg Elementary schools in New Castle. This year Mrs. Bailey is happy to be at Pleasantville Elementary School teaching general music and chorus for the third year.
Mrs. Bailey now lives with Mr. Bailey, her son and a cat named Max in Bear, DE. Her most favorite thing to do is to play the piano and make music with other people. She also loves to read, spending a lot of time at the library. For exercise, she likes to walk and do aerobic dancing. Her oldest child, Leslie, is a Junior at Shepherd University in WV studying – what else? – music education. Her second child, Stephanie, is a Freshman at the Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in NYC and is very musical as well. Her third child, Luke, is a Junior at Red Lion Christian Academy and he loves to play baseball and basketball. What does Mr. Bailey do? He tries to keep track of them all!
